Final Mock Draft

Today is draft day and here is my final mock draft. My mock doesn’t include any trades so if the order stays the same this is how I think things will shake out.

1. Cleveland Browns: Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State

Though the Browns could possibly get Barkley with the 4th pick why risk the possibility of missing out on a RB that can help the turn the franchise around.

2. New York Giants: Bradley Chubb, DE, N.C. State

The Giants traded Jason Pierre-Paul which means they are now down a pass rusher so why not replace him with the best defensive lineman in draft.

3. New York Jets: Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming

While not seen as the most pro ready quarterback, Allen does have some upside. If he can improve his accuracy this could be a great pick up for the Jets

4. Cleveland Browns: Sam Darnold, QB, USC

The Browns get their quarterback and they can have him sit for a year behind veteran Tyrod Taylor so that he can develop into the franchise QB they desperately need.

5. Denver Broncos: Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State

The Denver Broncos fill the giant hole left in the secondary after trading Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams during the offseason. While there are questions about Ward’s size at 5’10, he is the best cover cornerback in this draft and with the receivers that’s in the AFC West the Broncos can’t pass on a player like Ward.

6. Indianapolis Colts: Quenton Nelson, OL, Notre Dame

The Colts benefit from trading down with the Jets and land what some people are saying is the best offensive player in this draft. With the injuries that Andrew Luck as sustained the Colts need a player that will help keep him upright.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Alabama

The Bucs get a player that can play every position in the secondary. He will most likely play safety but don’t be surprised to see him in the slot from time to time.

8. Chicago Bears: Tremaine Edmunds, LB, Virgina

Edmonds would immediately make the Bears defense better, with his combination of size and speed he is able to cover TE’s while also being a threat in the pass rush.

9. San Francisco 49ers: Derwin James Jr., DB, Florida State

James is the perfect safety for the 49ers defensive scheme. Someone who can come down and play the run while also possessing good cover skills.

10. Oakland Raiders: Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia

The Raiders need a middle linebacker bad and what better way to feel that need then with who some people feel is the best linebacker in the draft.
